Extra-Curricular

Singing, instruments, lunchtime programs, sports (cross-country)

All Swan Reach Primary School students have the opportunity to engage in extra-curricular activities as they are offered. Throughout the year, lunchtime programs such as singing groups, ukulele lessons, knitting, tennis and drawing club are offered during break times. Additionally, Swan Reach students are offered music lessons where they can have one on one lessons in a variety of instruments or singing. Each year, students travel to Buchan for cross-country where they compete against other schools in the area.

Swimming Lessons

At Swan Reach Primary School, all students annually participate in a swimming program at the Lakes Entrance Aquadome. The swimming lessons are developed and ran by qualified swimming instructors and have a focus on water safety knowledge, rescue skills, survival sequences and the ability to swim a continuous distance of 50 meters.

Camps & Excursions

Excursions are an important part of learning experiences for all students. Excursions can support quality curriculum delivery and can provide important social and emotional development opportunities for students. Additionally, students can develop their skills in teamwork, resilience and confidence-building through challenge, problem-solving, connecting with nature and creative and imaginative play. In Grades 3 & 4, Swan Reach Primary School students have the opportunity to attend Camp Allambee and Camp Galantipy on alternating years. Additionally, Grade 5 & 6 students alternate years between Melbourne Doxa city camp and Camp Coolamatong.
